envoy enterprises, in collaboration with NP Contemporary Art Center and Mute Records, is pleased to present FG.Ft, a three-part project series in homage to Frank Tovey – founder of the 1970s/1980s British electronic group Fad Gadget, marking the 10 year anniversary of the pioneer’s death. Summoning a diverse group of artists and musicians who have been both directly and indirectly influenced by Tovey, the series will take place from March 1st through to April 8th, 2012 featuring a group exhibition, live music performances, and a film screening. All events are free and open to the public.
Show catalog and flyer will be available for purchase along with CD released by Mute Records of rare archived material from Fad Gadget. To purchase, please contact office@envoyenterprises.com

The pope is gonna pop his top...
Gio Black Peter's new album THE VIRGIN SHUFFLE is just about to drop. And it's good. Really good. Ive had the privilege of receiving an advance copy and ever since it's been on repeat on my ipod. The album features brand new collaborations and if you listen carefully, I do background vocals on one track "A-OK Gorilla"
Recently, Gio premiered tracks from THE VIRGIN SHUFFLE in a live performance organized by SPANK LIVE II here in NYC. Slava Mogutin's camera, always at the ready, captured video of the debut.

This is an outtake "SEA WEED" for another of Gio music videos. It was back in February, snowing non-stop and we were shooting in crazy costumes, black balloons paint and face masks, on top of this funky hotel that served Jager-bombs before check-out. After the shoot, Gio and I threw our OTK party at BoysRoom with Guest DJ Bruce LaBruce. Gio's gonna be on the big screens yo, he plays "Rudolf" in LaBruce's upcoming zombie movie OTTO or Up With Dead People
