HAND on HEART

Last fall, I was commissioned by Belgian fashion designer Walter Van Beirendonck to make drawings for the poster of his brand new Autumn/Winter 2011 collection entitled "Hand on Heart". I was thrilled to work on this project because I love Walter's work and personally felt very connected to show's themes. "Hand on Heart" is all about friendship, interconnectedness, awakening to expanded consciousness and the feeling that something big is coming. Above is the official poster for the January 21st show during Paris fashion week. And so below is an exclusive look at the complete set of drawings I made, inspired by and incorporating elements from Walter's new collection. (All drawings are ink on paper, 14 x 17 in)
